Integrating with Wikipedia

The getwiki module lets you embed wikipedia articles in your drupal website. It can fetch articles from any configured mediawiki server including your own server. Click here here for a demo on our project server. You can get to any wiki page by entering in the page title after the "getwiki/" path.

Here is a list of all its features:

  • all links to wiki's in the loaded page can be configured to load through your website or open as an external link
  • you can choose to automatically create a node with the downloaded wikipedia page - and specify a frequency at which this node gets updated with content from wikipedia.
  • you can point this module to pull data from any compatible mediawiki server including your own local server where you can serve your own wiki pages. Combine this with the mediawiki login module and...
  • you can retheme the content with your own css file to match the look and feel of your drupal theme.
  • you can embed wikipedia material in any locally created content by including [getwiki] tags on your page. Look here for an example.

Great Module - One Quick Question

Getwiki breaks the right sidebar in the Garland theme in Drupal for me. The right sidebar is forced to the bottom of the page. This happens in both IE7 and Firefox 2. Any ideas? All other content on the site works correctly.

Thanks -
